We already known how keen Microsoft is about Windows Phone 7 and they have been working really hard on being a part of the vast smartphone market. According to an e-mail sent by Andy Lees to 93,000 employees at Microsoft, the company wants their employees to impress their friends and family with Windows Phone 7.

The email says;
When you get your phone, the first thing you can do is MAKE IT PERSONAL! Pick up the phone, turn it on, download mail, get directions, make calls, find friends…. In short USE IT! [...] There is also a lot you can do while we are heading to launch even before you get your phone including: Understand the unique value of Windows Phone 7 and evangelize to your customers, partners, friends and family!
Prior to this we heard Microsoft giving away free developer phone to developers who had enrolled for the beta and that they will also be paying developers to make apps for their upcoming platform. Followed by other such news this supports the fact that Microsoft is working hard to make a remarkable mobile operating system.
Further the mail also reveals that Microsoft is encouraging their employees to work on apps for their platform as the mail further mentions;
The package includes everything you need to start building apps. In addition, we’ve introduced a new employee Developer program which makes it much easier for you to develop apps for Marketplace in your spare time. And if you need some help jumpstarting your development, check out the Windows Phone Developer Training Kit.
Now, the only thing to worry about is how many employees would really be investing time in developing a better experience for their company’s one strong chance at making it big in the smartphone industry. Since, the last couple of years Microsoft has not been doing good in this and they are yet to see the better side of the ever increasing mobile market. With competitors like Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android OS it is going to be really difficult for them to stand out however, I have a feeling that Microsoft may finally get a better mobile operating system to the consumers.
