More BlackBerry Tablet Rumors Emerge

Recently, we heard that BlackBerry maker RIM has registered the domain name Blackpad.com, no more rumors have emerged saying that RIM will launch a tablet under the same name in November this year.  The news comes from Bloomberg, and according to them two people familiar with the company’s plans said that the BlackPad is a real deal and it will launch later this year to take on the Apple iPad.

Thanks to all the previous news on the BlackPad it was quite obvious that this is a real project. Although, this has been floating since a long time we still need see some solid specifications coming out. According to the sources, it will have a 9.7-inch screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, while it will also allow users to connect through their BlackBerry smartphones.

Many details are not yet known but I think it may have a front facing camera for video conferencing and probably a tablet version of the same operating system which we will see on the upcoming BlackBerry smartphones. I believe we can expect an enterprise device feel from this tablet, just like all the other RIM devices.

The price is expected to be in line with the price of Apple iPad and that is all we know at the moment. The BlackPad seems to be a very interesting device and we may soon hear a lot more about it. So, stay in touch and we will keep you updated.
