O2 Dell Streak to get Android 2.1 Update on September 1st

Good news for all the unlucky guys who treated themselves with a Dell Streak as network provider O2 from the UK said that the Dell Streak device will be upgraded to Android 2.1 from Android 1.6 via an over-the-air update. The update will be available this Wednesday on the 1^st of September.

O2 has further mentioned that an Android 2.2 update will be coming to the Dell Streak later in 2010.

However, there is no information yet about when Dell Streak devices in the US will get an official Android 2.1 update through AT&T but I think it will be available pretty soon.
