Well, it had been mentioned by Sony Ericsson that is upgradable to Android 2.1 but they have not yet disclosed the exact dates. The device has been running the Android 1.6 since its launch and now Sony Ericsson’s UK Twitter handle has mentioned that the phone will receive Android 2.1 upgrade by the end of September, this is what the tweet said;
We can only confirm that the upgrade to Android 2.1 is due for release before the end of September this year. We hope this helps.
Well, considering that it is finally getting the upgrade is definitely going to make many users a lot more happier, also we recently heard that O2 officially announced a Android 2.1 update for their Dell Streak devices which and the update will go live from the 1st of September.
However, it is not yet known whether this update will be for the UK/Europe markets or will also make its way to the recently released AT&T Xperia X10 for the US market.
